46 MILLION DEFECTIVE BL-5C BATTERIES


A BL-5C BATTERY IN YOUR NOKIA PHONE? GET IT CHANGED.

NOKIA on tuesday offered to replace Matsushita-manufactured BL-5C batteries in 52 of its modles sold between December 2005 to November 2006.
This move follows complaints that the effected batteries were overheating becauuse of shortcircuit during charging, causing the battery inflate and dislodge from its place and this makes the phone go off.There were arround the world nearly 100 incidents of overheating and short circuit but no serious case was any where in the world the compnay said in there defence.

. There is a slot to enter the 26-digit identification number at the back of the battrry. Enter it and you will be told if there is aneed to replace your battery.
